The tree on the left is a banana tree. The gardeners wife gets to them before my wife does. The tree is much larger than shown here. Nevertheless, the entire tree produces one flower at a time, which will produce one bunch of bananas, about 10-12 of them, each one about six inches long. I am told they are tasty. I am determined to learn that for myself if only Pinks would out-hustle Mme. Leon.
